P. Pu. Acharya Shree Viragratna Surishwarji was born into a Kabir Panthi (Hindu) family from Chhattisgarh. He grew up in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and started working as a laborer from the age of 9. A few years later, he began working at the shop and home of a Jain merchant. It was at this Shravak's home that he learned about Jainism and its values. It was also there that he met his Guru, P. Pu. Yuva Hrday Samrat Acharya Shree Hemratna Surishwarji. He took Diksha at the age of 23 and has been a sadhu for 43 years. His Acharya Padvi was on Dec 21st, 2025 in Shahapur, Manas Mandir. He has completed 100 Vardhaman Tap Oli, which includes 5050 Ayambil and 100 Upvas. He is known for his extreme humility, openness, and ability to connect with anyone—young or old, Jain or non-Jain, rich or poor.
