YJP Convention 2026

What is YJP Convention?

Every year, Young Jain Professionals brings together Jain adults from across North America for a convention centered on learning, professional growth, and community. YJP Convention 2026 will take place in Milpitas, California, uniting the next generation of Jain leaders under this year's theme: Reinventing Your Wheel.

Over four days, attendees engage in experiences designed to inspire both professional and personal reinvention. Mornings begin with meditation and yoga, grounding participants before moving into keynote sessions and interactive breakouts. Throughout the day, attendees choose from industry-focused programming across finance, entrepreneurship, law, medicine, and technology.

Evenings create space for celebration and connection, from Garba Night to the formal Gala, building the kinds of friendships that extend far beyond convention weekend. By the end, attendees leave not just with new skills and perspectives, but with a renewed sense of who they are as Jain professionals.

The Theme

Reinventing Your Wheel

Pivots · Parallels · Purpose

Life isn’t always linear, and that’s the point. YJP 2026 is built around three ideas that shape how young Jain professionals move forward.

Pivots

Intentional changes in career or personal direction that reshape where you’re headed, moments when you choose to steer the wheel differently.

Parallels

Unexpected turns and detours that still carry you forward, even when progress isn’t immediately obvious, the side roads that matter more than they seem.

Purpose

Creating lives and careers that don’t just look successful on the outside, but feel aligned, grounded, and meaningful on the inside.

At YJP Convention 2026, we’ll explore what it means to reinvent your wheel — how embracing pivots and parallels can deepen your impact, clarify your decisions, and strengthen your sense of purpose.

Reinventing

Not discarding what came before, but intentionally examining your foundations, habits, and ambitions, and choosing which to carry forward and which to rebuild. In Jain thought, it's the ongoing practice of self-examination and refinement.

Your Wheel

The sum of your professional identity, relationships, values, and vision. The tools that carried you here may not be enough for the road ahead, and redesigning them isn't failure, it's growth.

You arrive with the wheel you’ve built; you leave with a clearer sense of what it can become.

The Mark

The Logo

The YJP26 logo is a bicycle whose frame forms the letters Y, J, and P. The wheel is terracotta, a sun rises on the horizon, and the words Reinventing Your Wheel rest on a curved path below. The whole mark sits inside a frame inspired by traditional Indian block printing.

Why a Bicycle

You power it. You steer it.

A wheel on its own just sits and spins. A bicycle moves because someone chooses to ride it, and that’s the whole idea. Forward motion is yours to define. No engine, no driver, no one else steering. You take the wheel.

Element by Element

What every piece means

The Bicycle = YJP

Look closely: the frame spells the letters. The front wheel and handlebars form the Y, the frame and seat form the J, the rear wheel forms the P. The letterforms aren’t added onto the bicycle, they are the bicycle. A wheel sits and spins; a bicycle moves because you steer it. YJP26 is about taking the wheel, not watching it turn.

The Terracotta Wheel

The wheel is terracotta, the color of energy, action, and the road ahead. It’s the forward motion of reinvention: defined by you, on your terms.

The Sun on the Horizon

A sun rises ahead of the bicycle, the destination you’re always moving toward, constant and warm. Purpose isn’t a place you arrive at; it’s a direction you keep choosing.

The Curved Path

The words Reinventing Your Wheel rest on a curved line, not a straight one, because life isn’t linear. The curve is the road itself: full of pivots and parallels, never a straight shot from start to finish.

Block Printing Frame

The frame around the mark is inspired by traditional Indian block printing, a craft that is intentional, hand-made, and carries cultural memory in every impression. It anchors YJP26 to where we come from while holding space for where we’re going.

What Guides Us

Jain Values in Practice

Ahimsa

Non-Violence

Every decision we make, professionally and personally, has the potential to cause or prevent harm. We lead with care.

Satya

Truth

We hold ourselves to honesty in our work, our relationships, and our self-understanding.

Aparigraha

Non-Possessiveness

Success is not measured by accumulation. We pursue impact over acquisition.

Anekantavada

Many-Sidedness

We embrace complexity. Every problem, every person, has more than one valid perspective.

The People Behind It
