About
Minoti Mehta is the Founder and Creative Director of The Vermilion Company, a San Francisco Bay Area-based luxury event planning firm specializing in Indian, fusion, and destination weddings, as well as corporate retreats and product launches. Since founding the company in 2015, she has curated celebrations across the Bay Area, Napa, Lake Tahoe, and international destinations including Italy, Portugal, and Mexico. Minoti's path to event planning was itself an act of reinvention. After earning a degree in Hospitality and Accounting from the University of San Francisco, she began her career at KPMG in Mergers and Acquisitions, building a foundation in project management and strategic collaboration. A sabbatical through Italy, Spain, and Southeast Asia became the turning point that led her to leave a conventional finance career and reimagine her professional life. She founded The Vermilion Company to honor her late father's passion for events while building a business rooted in her own creative vision. Minoti has since become a recognized voice in the luxury events industry, featured in Vogue India, CNBC, and NDTV. She serves as a subject matter expert for wikiHow, where her event planning insights are often featured and is known for her streamlined planning process and calm, capable problem-solving skills. At the Young Jains Professional Conference, Minoti will draw on her journey from corporate finance to entrepreneurship to explore what it truly means to reinvent the wheel: not discarding what came before, but redesigning it with intention.
