Mayuri Bhandari is an award-winning actress, multi-hyphenate artist, dancer, and storyteller whose work spans the American and Indian film industries. A former National figure skating champion, she is the first South Asian to showcase figure skating on Indian national television. On screen, Mayuri has appeared in acclaimed series such as Hacks (HBO), The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix), Dave (FX/Hulu), and Rebel (ABC). In India, she starred in major dance shows including Dare 2 Dance and Just Dance. Her extensive voice-over/ADR portfolio features Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Sony) and Ms. Marvel (Disney+), as well as narrating for various audiobooks with Penguin Random House. She is also set to star as a lead in an upcoming major video game. Bhandari created and stars in the critically acclaimed solo show, THE ANTI 'YOGI': Liberation, Not Lululemon! Following sold-out runs from Hollywood to its West End debut at London's SoHo Theatre, the show won the 2025 Asian Arts Award (Edinburgh Fringe) and the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Award for Dance and Physical Theater. Her work has garnered a massive online following of over 350K, utilizing yoga satire to challenge appropriation and decolonize through dramedy. Blending art, academia, and activism, Mayuri holds a B.A. in Dance and South Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University, where she serves as a Professor of Yoga and Bollywood Dance. A Marwari Jain, Mayuri’s ‘artivism’ advocates for eco-feminism, social justice, and the reclamation of South Asian identity.
